How to perfectly style a floral midi dress for the colder winter temps!
If you saw my instagram stories from this weekend, you saw I did this shoot in 11 degree weather! It was COLD! But, I loved wearing a dress in the cold temps. It’s actually not as bad as you think. Well, it’s really not bad at all. One of the best ways to wear a dress in the winter is to pair it with over the knee boots. You get the feminine effect of a pretty dress, like this floral dress, but keep your legs warm. If you’re like me, the boots are not only keeping your legs warm, but hiding the fact that they are also very pale.
This dark floral pattern is the perfect way to wear the trend in the winter. The ruffles are a great way to add texture to your outfit, too. A great way to add texture is the coat of the season – the teddy bear coat. I got this coat as a Christmas gift from my mom (who always picks out the best things that I never knew I needed!). I can’t tell you often I wear this! The one I’m wearing is from Zara, but of course it’s sold out. So, I’ve linked another one I actually almost bought myself!
Of course, I love all Stuart Weitzman boots and firmly believe they are worth the investment. This gray pair actually happens to be on sale, which doesn’t happen often! However, if you aren’t down for splurging, this pair is a great alternative.
