How to wear a black and white midi dress now in the summer heat and later in the cooler fall temps!
Oh, hello favorite dress ever. This black and white midi dress may be one of my favorite transitional pieces. I actually wore this striped dress to a brewery this past weekend for a friend’s birthday. It was one of the first times we took Lincoln out to a crowded place (for real, I’ve been too nervous to take him out a lot!), and he did a great job! He loved looking around at everyone and smiling. He has gotten a little bit of stranger anxiety, so we really need to work on getting him used to being around people.
So, back to my black and white striped dress. Not only is it comfortable enough to wear with your kid, but it is on sale. Major sale – aka under $50! I wore it with my retro sneakers and red bag. And of course the NC heat has returned, so I didn’t bother wearing a jacket this time. But, once it cools down, all you have to do is throw on a jean jacket and you’re good to go.
I know fall is right around the corner, but it seems like it takes forever to stick around here in the south. And once, fall arrives, it doesn’t last long. Winter always seems to be quickly behind it. Fortunately, fall in North Carolina is the most beautiful season. Fall leaves, cool temps, and blue skies make fall unbeatable. I seriously can’t wait for chunky sweaters, leather jackets, and everything pumpkin. Yes, I’m totally basic when it comes to fall and pumpkin everything. Sorry, not sorry. I’ll share my pumpkin bread recipe soon!
