Pom Pom Sandals are a huge trend right now! I love their fun and festive colors and they add the perfect pop to any outfit. Many of the sandals I am loving come with a hefty price tag, and I’m not sure I want to spend that much! I decided to do my own Pom Pom Sandal DIY and it only took about 10 minutes.
First, pick a pair of sandals. I had these Sam Edelman GiGi Sandals in my closet already. I didn’t wear them much anymore because the white leather was a bit dingy, so I decided to spruce them up. Next, I purchased some pom poms. I wanted a selection of bright colors with a few different sizes, and these poms are great. You get 300 pom poms for about $6!
Next, make sure you have the right glue. I used E6000 because my shoes are leather, and it also works great for plastic, vinyl, and rubber. Start by spreading the glue on a section of the shoe and start adding the pom poms! Simply place them on the glue and give it a little squeeze. Repeat until the whole shoe is covered.
Once you’ve covered your entire shoe, go back to the first poms and make sure they are pressed down securely. Wait until the glue is dry to wear! I would recommend giving them a test run around the house before you wear them out to make sure all the pom poms are secure.
