We all have our own routine when it comes to our hair. Personally, it took a while before I could tame my mane. Having dry, curly hair takes a lot of maintenance, and I have my routine down-pat. When it comes to hair products, I go for quality, but I also try to keep my products low-cost (all products linked here go to Ulta where there is a buy two, get one free sale!! My favorite!).
To Wash: I like to alternate between a color-safe shampoo/conditioner and a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner depending on how dry the weather is.
Post-Wash: Leave-In conditioner is a life-saver! Adding moisture to the ends of my hair adds another layer of protection from the elements. I also add blow drying cream to the middle and ends of my hair for control and shine. Volumizing spray applied to the roots of my hair (use as much as needed!) helps my hair from falling flat the next day.
Pre-Heat: Before I blow dry my hair, I spray this Blow Dry Primer on it which not only protects it from the heat, but also makes my hair dry in less than half the time (I’m serious!). Before I take the curling iron or straightener to my hair, I spray each piece with this Shine Spray.
Post-Styling: Hair spray is key to keeping all of your hard work in place! I swear by this L’oreal hair spray – not only is it under $15, but it keeps your hair in place while remaining soft! No crunchies here.
