When we first moved into our home, I went a little crazy decorating. I like to blame my pregnancy urge to nest, but my husband just thought I was insane! Men just don’t understand, am I right?! Anyways, in order to curb the expenses on decorating, I decided to do some updating to our existing furniture, kind of my own furniture makeover. One of the easiest ways to update your furniture is to switch out the hardware. Instead of painting furniture, which can be a long and painful process, just replacing the drawer pulls or knobs provides a chic and efficient makeover.
For example, I replaced the silver drawer pulls on our nursery dresser with these chic gold pulls. All you have to do is measure the length of the holes and find pulls that match. However, if you do happen to find pulls that don’t line up with your existing holes, you can always patch the existing holes and drill new ones. Obviously this will take a bit more work, but it is still an easy fix! And much less expensive than purchasing an entirely new piece of furniture. Or, if you have drawers will just a knob, you don’t have to worry about lining up the holes and pulls. I installed these gold pulls for the dresser in our bedroom that match the nursery pulls. Fortunately, the pulls immediately updated my old dresser (that I’ve had since I was in middle school) to look updated and modern.
Below, I’ve rounded up my favorite drawer pulls and knobs that can instantly give your furniture a makeover!
