So, I finally got pregnant – now what?! That was my first thought after celebrating the happiness we felt after trying for so long! I realized that I would need things for this baby, and I had no idea where to start. Of course, I knew I needed to create a baby registry. But, I was so overwhelmed. Actually, I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t even start thinking about a registry until I was at least six months pregnant! As I’ve mentioned before, I was very picky when it came to the style of baby products I wanted. Integrating chic and stylish baby products into our home was really important to me. However, finding these products proved to be challenging. But then, I found Gugu Guru. And my life was changed! Seriously, Gugu Guru not only was so helpful, but was really fun to use.
What is Gugu Guru? Think of it as a concierge for your baby registry must haves. First, you take a quiz that helps you determine what you need and what you want. It is totally unbiased, and is full of chic baby products. This was one of my favorite parts of the process! It’s like taking a Buzzfeed quiz, except it’s actually useful. I loved seeing all of the product options because it was full of items I didn’t even think of myself.
Once you finish the quiz, Gugu Guru will create a personalized registry just for you. You can also add products from all over the internet to your registry. AND, you can mark your items as “must-haves” or “nice to have.” I love this feature because it helps your friends and family shop.
Bottles are such a hard item to pick because you never know what your baby will like best. However, these como tomo Bottles were a major hit with Lincoln. The base of the bottle is flexible and feels almost like rubber, so it is light and comfortable to hold for mom.
At this time, Lincoln is only 18 days old, so I haven’t taken him out shopping yet. However, once I do, I know I will be using this Binxy Baby Shopping Hammock. Instead of having to mess with a car seat or stroller or dirty shopping cart, I can lay Lincoln comfortably in this hammock. I will be able to shop easily (if he behaves!) and not worry about clunky logistics.
And speaking of going out, Lincoln has only been to the pediatrician. But, with this Newlie Louise Diaper Bag, I was able to change his diaper without any issues because it has a compartment for everything! Babies seem to need a lot of things when you leave the house, and this stylish diaper bag holds it all.
These Milestone Cards are something I wouldn’t have ever bought myself. Sometimes when I’m overwhelmed, I will bypass the sentimental items and go for the items I know I need. However, I’ve already taken pictures with Lincoln with his one and two week cards! And I’m so glad I have these for that reason. I’ll be able to document the big and little milestones in his life and I’m so grateful.
If there was one item I would recommend to any new parent, it is DockATot. Lincoln LOVES sleeping in this. He is so small, and this makes him feel cozy and comfortable in his crib and pack and play. DockATot is a lifesaver and in my opinion an absolute necessity for any newborn! Again, this is an item I probably never would have thought of on my own, but thanks to Gugu Guru, I found it!
Lincoln loves to be swaddled at night! This swaddle has been amazing at keeping him snug and safe during the night. Something I love about The Ollie Swaddle is the background story to how this swaddle came to be. And, there are step-by-step instructions on how to use the swaddle if you’re not familiar!

If you want to find your baby registry must haves, you must use Gugu Guru. I couldn’t recommend them more. Make sure to give it a try and let me know what you think!
