This gingham maxi dress may just be one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever featured on Polished Closets! When I first saw it, I immediately knew I needed it. Not only is it inexpensive (under $50!), but it is non-maternity! I love that this gingham maxi dress can be worn with or without a baby bump. If you do have a baby bump, I would recommend going one size up. Gingham is absolutely the pattern of the spring and summer, and I love that this is a less traditional take on such a classic print. Preppy isn’t my usual style, so I love that this dress feels very modern and cool. I love this dress for any mom on the go (#MommyMonday!) because it is so easy to throw on. Also, this dress is so breezy and will make you feel put together instantly.
The high-low hem on this gingham maxi dress is one of my favorite features. Also, the subtle ruffle makes it feel feminine and fun. Pairing this dress with my favorite slides was a no-brainer for me. At this point in my pregnancy (I was around 34 weeks), it took a lot of effort to bend over to tie shoes! So, slides were my swollen feet’s best friends.
Did I mention that almost everything I am wearing is under $50?! With the exception of my slides, every piece of this outfit is so affordable. These pink sunglasses? They are $12 – for real! And my handbag, which is reversible, is only $45. Ultimately, investing in quality, yet inexpensive, pieces like these will make your wardrobe and your wallet super happy!
