This past Saturday, my mom and sister threw a baby shower for me and Baby K with the help of my mother-in-law! I was so excited to welcome my family and friends into our new home and celebrate our son. When planning my shower, my mom and sister asked about themes. Because I am difficult, I didn’t want a theme other than a few colors – navy, gold and white! I also really wanted a naked cake, and my mom made one from scratch. She is seriously talented, and needs to open an Etsy Shop/Bakery/Interior Design Studio, among other things. My sister planned the best games for my shower, too. I am not a big game person, but she made them so fun and non-cheesy! My family did such a wonderful job with everything, so I wanted to share it all!
My mom made this adorable baby sock wreath – she really needs to open an Etsy Shop. Seriously, how cute is this?! It’s still hanging over our fire place because I don’t want to take it down.
The naked cake my mom baked was spice cake with cinnamon frosting. My mom picked this favor because our wedding cake was spice cake and I thought it was just perfect. And how cute is this little cake topper?!
And I loved the subtle and classic touches of my color scheme, and this giant confetti balloon was perfect.
My invitation was this gorgeous navy and gold foil pressed card from Minted. And of course, donuts are a must at any gathering that I’m a part of! They are my weakness.
See, I needed my dress to match my party decor! Totally normal.
See more of my dress here and what to wear to a baby shower here!
I made some refreshing berry water with blueberries, blackberries, and mint.
These little gold confetti dots added the perfect pop of shine to the tables where we served food.
Everyone got to guess when Baby K will be born! My due date is April 8th, so we will find out soon who was right!
Everyone wrote their wishes for Baby K and put them in our wish jar. It was so nice to read all of the well-wishes from my friends and family. He is already surrounded by love and I can’t wait to meet him!
