I can’t believe Christmas is only a few days away!! I am SO excited to spend time with my family and just relax. I only wish I had a 2+ week break from work like I used to in school! Traditions are what make the holidays so special, so I wanted to share some activities my family always does as well as some that Neil and I have adopted since getting married. We can’t wait to pass these along to our children and continue to enjoy the holidays together.
1. Ornaments from our Travels. Before I met Neil, I was too anxious to travel much, so being with him has allowed me to see so much more of the world! Everywhere we go, we always purchase a Christmas ornament for our tree to remind of us the fun times we had on our travels. We definitely have a few more spaces to fill on the tree, but it is so exciting to plan for that.
2. Big family breakfast. My family is all about a big Christmas breakfast, and I look forward to it every year. We always unwrap our presents from Santa and then cook breakfast together while we admire our gifts. Pancakes, eggs, and bacon always make an appearance, and I just recently discovered the most delicious cinammon roll casserole (get the recipe here), so I am going to make it for them!
3. Christmas Cards. If you saw my post last week, this is a new tradition for me and Neil! We were so excited to share our cards with friends and family, and I know next year we will have a little boy to add to the card which will make it even more special.
4. New PJs. Who doesn’t love PJs?! If you saw my post earlier this week, you saw some of my favorite sets! We always take pictures during our Christmas morning rituals, and I learned the hard way that it is better to look cute in new PJs rather than my normal tee and boxers!
I hope everyone has a warm, wonderful, and safe holiday!
