The holidays are without a doubt my favorite time of year! The fun and festive atmosphere combined with tons of family time is something I look forward to every year. My husband and I also got married in December, so there is a lot to celebrate this month!
One of my favorite ways to celebrate the holiday season is by throwing an intimate get together with my closest girl friends so we can kick back and relax, all while enjoying a classy evening. Sometimes it is just fun to decorate and get all dolled up for your friends! Kristen from Every Chic Way and I teamed up with Diet Coke to throw a holiday dinner party for our closet girl friends here in Charlotte! We had the best time decorating for the party, eating the food, and spending time with our nearest and dearest.
Of course we had to have coordinating velvet dresses, because that is what friends do! Make sure to check out Kristen’s post here.
If you celebrate Christmas, having a tree is a must for any holiday party! It immediately sets the perfect festive atmosphere and makes any space feel cozy and welcoming! I especially love the trees that look like they are dusted with snow!
How gorgeous is this dining room?! It was the perfect setting for an intimate holiday dinner party. And this shelf is my current home obsession – it was the perfect place for little holiday decor to make the space feel even more festive!
Making the perfect place setting was so fun! We got to use gorgeous gold, blush, and white plates that instantly elevated our party and make it so chic.
No party is complete without bubbly refreshments!
…Or a cheese plate. My favorite thing at any party is a yummy cheese plate.
We had the best time just decorating for the party! Once our guests arrived, we were able to relax and entertain with all of our delicious food.
To make life a little easier on use as the hostesses, we had our guests bring a potluck style dinner. We took care of the appetizers and desserts! Having appetizers on these tiny forks made them so easy for guests to grab and eat without having to make an entire plate. I love finger foods that allow you to hold a drink while you walk around.
Just like these caprese bites! They were so fresh and delicious, and easy to eat.
Find my velvet dress here.
I’m sharing the full recipe for this Diet Coke Peppermint Float tomorrow, so stay tuned! These were a delicious and festive way to end our meal.
These little cups were the perfect way to cheers to a wonderful evening!
