Any time you look at these amazing boho chic homes in magazines or on Pinterest, you will see gorgeous ferns and vibrant green plants. As a pet owner, I always have to be extra careful about what plants I bring into my home because my cats like to munch on any plant that crosses our threshold. A few years ago, I bought a bunch of Eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s and my husband informed me that it was poisonous to cats as soon as I walked in the door. You definitely don’t want to poison your pets, but you want your home to feel chic and welcoming, so these are 3 plants that are non-toxic to both cats and dogs! 1. Boston Fern
These are great house plants because they are easy to care for and grow long and beautiful. They look great hung from the ceiling so their leaves can flow over, and so your fur babies can’t jump up and get them!
2. Zebra Cactus
How gorgeous is this cactus?! Well, it’s actually technically a succulent, but it looks so pretty who really cares? These plants look so gorgeous in fun and bright containers and will add the best color to any room in your house. Make sure to keep them on a ledge where your pets can knock them over!
3. Staghorn Fern
This fern is often planted and hung on walls because it looks like horns and becomes a piece of art! It’s also the perfect plant for your house because you can hang it out of the reach of your pets and it is very easy to care for.
