I don’t know about you, but my vanity/sink area in my bathroom is one of my most used areas. It also happens to be one of my the least organized areas in my house, which drives me crazy. For #TidyTuesday, I’ve come up with three easy steps to tackle this problem area.
1. Clear it out. That’s right, take everything out! My vanity drawers and sink cabinets are apparently mysterious caves where stuff goes to disappear forever. If you can actually see everything you have, you can decide what to keep and what to throw out. Which brings me to….
2. Get rid of it. I’m looking at you, year-old Sephora sample. Or maybe you have a nail polish color you NEVER use. Make a pile to throw out, keep, or share with friends. My office-mate at work clears out her (very impressive) nail polish collection and brings in her rejects for me! Her season-old nail polish is my new color! Sharing is caring.
3. Put it all back. This is the tough part, but it is the most rewarding part. I love organizational trays/makeup holders/drawers, and this is where those come in to play. Once you have your “keep” pile, you know how much needs to go back into your space. Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite tools! The key here is once you have a place for your make up/hair products/etc., that you actually put them back where they belong.
What do y’all do to organize your most used spaces in your house? Any favorite products? I’d love to hear!
